High Performance Feeder Section (Standard on Elite and Select models, Optional on other models)
The heart of the folding process is accurate carton spacing and reliable carton flow. Signature™ accomplishes "out of the gate" reliability using a variety of integrated components.
The feed system requires no tools for setup and blank spacing is precisely controlled by a simple one-dial adjustment. Adjustable vacuum belts and individual belt vibration ensure accurate and reliable carton spacing and flow. An electro-mechanical vibrator eliminates pile gaps. Quick-adjusting pile supports and belted overhead feed carriers minimize stalls and skewing. An optional carton squaring section can direct cartons, left or right, and can even square pocket folders.

4+6 Corner Servo Backfold System
We've created a unique solution to meet the increased demands for greater productivity on 4+6 corner cartons. The adaptation of programmable AC servo drives with optimized backfold finger tooling takes reliable 4+6 corner productivity to a new plateau. We've eliminated timing cams, chains and lugs in favor of a modern and simple solution. Complete backfold data is supplied at one operator control center via a color LCD touch-screen, used for programming up to 99 different jobs into memory.

Dual Glue Pots (Elite and Select models only)
Activated by touch-screen, by way of the main operator color LCD control panel. Easy de-activation allows the operator to disable the glue pots which reduces wear & tear. Our entirely non-ferrous pots are easy to strip down and can be cleaned with ease on the machine. Lockable glue metering keeps application consistent. Non-graveured glue wheels are standard with optional graveured surface for less glue slinging. A shallow-depth glue well eliminates bearing contamination, further reducing clean-up and waste. The main glue wheel is supported by sealed roller bearings (not bushings), eliminating traditional heat build-up. A variety of wheel widths and profiles are available.

Rugged and Proven AC Drive Systems
Highly accurate motion-control systems use the latest AC servo and adjustable-frequency drive platforms. Significant relay elimination is accomplished through the use of a single PLC. All AC motors are continuous duty, thermally protected, brush-less design, further eliminating routine maintenance. All controls are housed in roomy, dust-tight NEMA 12 enclosures, ensuring long component life and ease of maintenance.

Convenient Operator Stations
Multilocation "point-of-use" stations allow for quicker make readies. The heavy-duty LCD touch-screen main control center displays precise production-rate data such as carton speed, speeds-per-hour, belt speed, and batch count. Also featured on the monitor are jam detection display, E-STOP notification, and low-level machine diagnostics. The backfold stations have heavy-duty dustproof enclosures with safety-minded E-STOP lockout locations as well. High-endurance push buttons have clear descriptions and a long life cycle ratings.

Modular Compression Section
The extended length compression section uses accurate and simple two-stage pneumatic pressure control. The first stage provides a soft or firm pinch point for the carton to enter into compression belts. Additionally, there is an adjustable, sping-loaded lower support roller and floating upper lead-in carriers to accommodate variations in carton thickness. The dual-air-cylinder second stage maintains constant carton pressure, enhancing glue bond and eliminating take-off skewing. The entire system can be re-positioned to accept a variety of carton lengths either by adjusting the top belt or by moving the entire section, which rests on heavy-duty rollers.

Multi-Carrier Construction
Reliable carton support is provided throughout the machine. Each section-to-section transfer is kept in precise alignment with lead "nip point" adjustability. Multi-carrier construction provides for greater tool mounting locations, ultimately improving set-up versatility.

Motorized Carriers with Digital Indicators
Motorized side travel on all carriers provides quick, accurate, and easy changeover. Highly accurate digital readouts on each carrier reduces the overall set-up time. Eliminating traditional hand cranks reduces operator fatigue and enhances safety. Motors allow for precise carrier placement to within 0.2 on one millimeter.
